Our research institute is a government-funded research institute (under the Ministry of Science and ICT) that plays a role in national economic development and science and technology advancement by conducting research and development in the field of materials, related testing and evaluation, and technical support work. We are looking for enterprising and mission-oriented talents.

3. Preferential treatment

※ In case of a tie, all applicants will pass the written and document screenings, and the final successful applicants will be determined in the following order for the interview screening:

※ The criteria for passing the document screening are those who have obtained an average score of 60% or higher, and the criteria for passing the interview screening are those who have obtained an average score of 80% or higher, and the criteria are based on the highest scores up to the passing multiple.

■ Notice regarding return of submitted documents
- According to Article 11 (Return of Recruitment Documents, etc.) of the Act on Fair Recruitment Procedures, applicants, excluding those who have been finally selected, may request the return of previously submitted recruitment documents within 14 days from the date of confirmation of employment.
- However, electronic recruitment documents submitted through the recruitment website or by e-mail, and documents voluntarily submitted by applicants without our request are excluded from the return request, and if recruitment documents are lost due to natural disasters or other reasons for which we are not responsible, they will be considered returned.
- To request the return of application documents, please fill out the application document return request form in the ⌜Notice on Return of Application Documents⌟ on the institute website and submit it to the fax (055-280-3729) or email (yhlee@kims.re.kr). The documents will be sent to the designated address via registered mail within 14 days from the date of submission confirmation. In this case, the applicant may be responsible for paying the registered mail fee.
- The institute will keep non-electronic recruitment documents for 14 days after the date of confirmation of employment in preparation for a return request (electronic recruitment documents will be destroyed without delay after the date of confirmation of employment). If the return of recruitment documents is not requested by then, all recruitment documents will be destroyed without delay.
7. Key points related to blind recruitment
■ When filling out an application for employment, do not include any personal information (name, age, gender, photo, place of origin, family relationships, etc.)
■ All supporting documents are submitted only by the final successful candidates. However, during the recruitment application stage, research positions must submit supporting documents for research performance.
■ The name, contact information, email address, address, and military service history written on the application form will be processed blindly during the selection process.
■ Interviewers are prohibited from asking questions about personal information such as the applicant's place of origin or family relationships.
8. Notes
■ (No Duplicate Applications Allowed) Applicants cannot apply for multiple positions across participating institutions in the 2025 First Joint Recruitment if the positions require taking the Integrated Written Test (NCS). (This applies to government-funded research institutes.)
However, applicants may apply for multiple positions if one requires the Integrated Written Test (NCS) and the other does not.
Examples:
Allowed: Applying to Institution A’s research position (NCS-exempt) and Institution B’s research position (NCS-exempt)
Allowed: Applying to Institution C’s research position (NCS-exempt) and Institution D’s research position (NCS-required)
Not Allowed: Applying to Institution E’s research position (NCS-required) and Institution F’s research position (NCS-required)
■ (Additional information collection according to the recruitment criteria of research and development purpose organizations) In order to confirm and verify expertise and job suitability by recruitment field, the following information may be additionally collected and provided to the selection committee.
- Name of degree-earning institution, name of research institution, former research lab, name of advisor, letter of recommendation, etc.
■ (Application documents) When writing an application, please make sure that it matches the supporting documents you will submit in the future. If any key information does not match the supporting documents or is found to be false, your acceptance will be canceled.
■ (Review of eligibility for application) The application form will be reviewed for compliance with blind requirements, plagiarism, etc. using an AI-based automatic analysis program. In addition, applicants who submit all items in their self-introduction form as blank will not be eligible to apply for the next round of selection due to lack of eligibility for application.
■ (Fraudulent acts) Those who have falsified application forms, forged or altered supporting documents, engaged in fraud in the recruitment process, passed the examination through recruitment irregularities, or engaged in fraud in the recruitment process at public institutions will have their examinations deemed invalid and disqualified, and their eligibility to take the researcher recruitment exam in the future will be restricted. If necessary, they will be reported to the relevant authorities. In addition, if such facts are discovered after the announcement of the final successful candidates and after employment, their employment will be canceled.
■ (Job Description) Since the evaluation will be centered on the content described in the job description, please make sure to check the job description for the field you are applying for before applying.
- You can apply if at least one of the following applies: job performance content, required knowledge, and required skills.
■ (Selection) If there are no qualified candidates for the recruitment field, no selection may be made.
■ (Reserve Candidates) Reserve candidates may be selected at each stage of the recruitment process in case of vacancies due to the withdrawal of successful candidates or for the protection of affected applicants.
Reserve candidates will be notified separately.
The validity period for reserve candidates is three months from the final selection announcement date or until the next recruitment announcement for the relevant field, whichever comes first.

If a work visa cannot be obtained, the appointment will be canceled.
